The Nonprofit Council's Leadership Development Committee is proud to present our Leading Edge Series. These ongoing panel conversations allow attendees to learn from and interact with some of the most successful and respected members of our community.
On June 13, 2019 we welcomed Gordon Hartman, Peter Holt Jr., Sheryl Sculley and Laura Vaccaro to the stage for the second installment of our Leading Edge series. They shared their insights and wisdom on the topic of risk (among other things) and enthralled the crowd with stories, humor, and humility. We thank each of them for their willingness to share their experiences and wisdom for the benefit of our guests.
Many of our members have been asking us to include a training piece as part of our mission to SUPPORT, CONNECT and STRENGTHEN the nonprofit community. In response to this request, our Leadership Development Committee has been working diligently to identify training topics and structure that will provide timely, valuable information in a format that is both accessible and affordable. Our goal is to continue to offer these trainings on a regular basis.
The topic of our first training, “blind spots” has been shared as a common theme by many of our members. We believe this training will be an excellent opportunity for attendees to gain valuable information and tools from the panel and each other.
On November 28, 2018 the Leadership Development Committee of The Nonprofit Council presented the first installment of our Leading Edge series, "Blind Spots". Our panelists included Craig Boyan – President of H-E-B, Mike Gilliam – CEO, San Antonio Lighthouse for the Blind, Annette Rodriguez – CEO, The Children’s Shelter and Kim Lubel – former CEO of CST Brands. Together these exceptional leaders brought a wealth of success and experience to this discussion. We are grateful they agreed to participate and share their knowledge.
